Ian Bury drives a Genesis GV60 Premium 2023.
This is Ian’s third electric car, he’s owned the Genesis GV60 from new and drives 15,000-20,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000-5,000 miles and he achieves 280 miles from a full charge.
Why did you choose the Genesis GV60?
Premium build, availability and good range.
Positives
- Great range
- lovely interior
- rare.
Negatives
- It’s a pre-production model so some features are missing
- the App is buggy, slightly slow.
Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
A couple of manufacturing defects, waiting for parts to come and repair.
What are the standout technological features of the car?
I love the instrument panel and the cars ability to fast charge.
Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car
You can customise the throttle response and braking levels.
What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
Next generation Genesis, I think technology will leap on again.
Home charging unit
myenergi zappi – no negatives & works really well with solar panels.
Electricity supplier & tariff
I’m on Octopus Go – it’s really good for me because I have 2 EVs and a house battery. I can charge all of them cheaply overnight and by using solar alone.
What public charging networks would you recommend to others and why?
IONITY because Genesis supply a charge card which has great rates.
Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Genesis GV60
I save £300 a month on fuel and don’t pay any car tax.
