Keith drives a Škoda Elroq 85 Edition 77kWh 2025, standard specification.
This is Keith’s first electric car, he’s owned the Škoda Elroq less than a year and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 15,000-20,000 miles and he achieves 300 miles on an 80% charge.
Why did you choose the Škoda Elroq?
Larger battery and range for regular 75 mile return trips, plus running around in between.
Positives
Relaxed driving and lovely interior.
Negatives
None so far, but I’ve only had the car for three weeks so still in the honeymoon stage.
Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?
Bought used three weeks ago, so not applicable.
Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
None
What are the standout technological features of the car?
Adaptive cruise control
Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about your Škoda Elroq
Smooth acceleration compared with a conventional gearbox.
What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?
VW ID. Cross – tempting in the future when I don’t need the range; smart looking and nice interior.
Electricity supplier & tariff
British Gas – fixed tariff till October. Not an attractive tariff after that.
Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Škoda Elroq
Yes, fuel costs obviously. But I expect insurance costs to be more expensive, although lower servicing costs will offset that.
