Nissan LEAF 2021

Nissan LEAF 2021

PSG drives a Nissan LEAF 40kWh 2021, standard specification.

This is PSG’s second electric car, they’ve owned the Nissan LEAF 5-6 years and drive 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 50,000-60,000 miles and they achieve 140 miles on an 80% charge.

Why did you choose the Nissan LEAF?

Price, then a need for a car. We live just outside the London low emission zone (LEZ).

Positives

  • Silence
  • can be cheap per mile if charged at home.

Negatives

  • 160 mile range is average but I want more
  • no luggage mounts in the tailgate
  • rear seats don’t fold flat.

Compared to when you first bought the car, does your battery still charge at the same rate & do you still get the same range?

Great, still 100% range, no degradation so far! We very rarely charge at either 7kW or 50kW, just use a 3-pin plug.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

  • Front & rear parking cameras
  • comfortable seats, heated too, like the steering wheel.
