Mach-E-O-Meter: initial findings, Feb 2024

The Mustang Mach-E is quite a unique EV in many ways.

So we decided to launch our own ‘Mach-E-O-Meter’ to gauge people’s thoughts on key elements of the car.

These initial findings are based on submissions from 19th January 2024 to 31st January 2024.

The survey was communicated to Electric Road’s database. The total submission base, at the time of compiling, was 136 achieving a 59.6% completion rate.

All of our brand & model surveys are open to all drivers (of all fuel types) be they a current owner, a previous owner, a prospective one or they simply have a view on that particular brand or car.

Broad opinion

Just over 50% of all respondents have a ‘Very Positive’ or ‘Positive’ view of the Mustang Mach-E.

Exterior design

59.6% of all respondents ‘Love’ or ‘Like’ the Mustang Mach-E.

Interior

The biggest response group are indifferent to the Mach-E’s interior (based on what they know). Having said that, 44.1% think the Mach-E’s interior is either ‘Cutting-edge’ or ‘Advanced’.

Tech & infotainment

A majority of respondents (58.8%) think the tech & infotainment offered by the Mach-E is either ‘Advanced’ or ‘Cutting-edge’.

Performance

Less of a surprise perhaps, over two-thirds of respondents highly rate the performance levels of the Mach-E (68.4%).

Compared to other EVs in its class

We think it’s fair to say that the Mach-E is quite a competitive proposition against other cars in its class. 38.9% think the Mach-E is ‘Above Average’ or ‘Superior’ to comparable electric cars.

Opinion on Ford

Overall, respondents think favourably towards Ford for launching such an electric car (57.3%).
