Mustang Mach-E 2022 electric car owner review

LB drives a Mustang Mach-E 75kWh 2022.

This is LB’s first electric car, she’s owned the Mustang Mach-E from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and she achieves 225 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Mustang Mach-E?

Test drive was awesome and it’s orange!

Yes, still good after a year.

Nope

The puddle lights are mustangs!

Maybe an electric Puma?

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

myenergi zappi – excellent with a great app. No negatives about charging from home.

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements

Octopus 12 month fixed tariff – works fine for charging despite not being an EV or cheap flexible tariff. Still cheaper than fossil fuel.

Do you use public charging networks?

No

Insurer – outline both positive & negative elements

RAC at present but may change, let’s see what’s out there. Some firms seem less switched onto EV insurance than others.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Mustang Mach-E

Less fuel costs, less maintenance and servicing costs (2 yearly servicing instead of annually), zero road tax (till 2025). Saving  approx. £140 per month.
