Nissan LEAF 2021 electric car owner review

Nissan LEAF 2021 electric car owner review

J Howatson drives a Nissan LEAF 62kWh 2021.

This is J Howatson’s first electric car, he’s owned the Nissan LEAF from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and he achieves 210 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Nissan LEAF?

I was downsizing from a Nissan X-Trail to something smaller and more economical and electric seemed like a good alternative.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car

  • Range when the car has been charged
  • fitted with everything I need
  • the car is comfortable when travelling.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • Range when the weather is bad
  • nothing else.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No faults to-date.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

The technology on this car is amazing, the only thing missing is Nissan’s ProPilot driving system.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

The comfort in such a small car and the power from the electric drive.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

I have an SyncEV charger installed by the EV Guys. Home charging is easy and very cost effective, you can set the charge cycle in the car and walk away knowing the car will be charged overnight.

Do you use public charging networks?

No

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Nissan LEAF

No road tax & no diesel costs, I save around £250 a month.
