Škoda ENYAQ 2021 electric car owner review

Škoda ENYAQ 2021 electric car owner review

David Talbot drives a Škoda ENYAQ 80kWh 2021.

This is David’s second electric car, he’s owned the Škoda ENYAQ less than 1 year and drives 10,000-15,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 5,000-10,000 miles and he achieves 250 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Škoda ENYAQ?

I really like the Škoda brand. The functionality and looks of the ENYAQ also helped sell it but the overriding positive was the roominess and range.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car

  • Room inside
  • range
  • looks.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car

  • Not everything works all the time from a functionality perspective, you sometimes have to switch the infotainment system off and on
  • expense of servicing
  • can’t think of a third thing!

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

Sometimes the infotainment functionality & very occasionally charging remotely.

What are the standout technological features of the car?

The infotainment system and the bolt-on packages.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

The room in the back seats and the boot is incredible!

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

As we downsize with children leaving we would look at a Jaguar I-PACE. Other than that, I would stick with the ENYAQ.

Home charging unit – outline both positive & negative elements

myenergi zappi – by far the best aspect is the eco+ mode to divert surplus solar to the charger.

Electricity supplier & tariff – outline both positive & negative elements

EDF standard fixed rate – good that I have the same rate whatever time of day I charge. Bad is the opposite of that as I can’t therefore plan for cheaper charging.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Škoda ENYAQ

  • Energy costs as I have solar and a cheap tariff
  • road tax at the moment
  • that’s all I can think of.
