What did you like/dislike like about the exterior?

It is a bit too chunky even compared to the BMW X5 and the ‘grill’ has become outlandish. The alloys look smart though.

What did you like/dislike like about the interior?

Fabulous high-quality interior with gorgeous display screens wrapping around to provide a crystal clear image. The seats are very comfortable with plenty of adjustments using the door mounted switches as per Mercedes. The Sky Lounge panoramic roof is awesome though rather expensive compared to other BMW models.

What did you like/dislike about the tech features?

The sat nav is brilliant in terms of ease of use and the clarity of the display. The adaptive cruise control is intuitive and works well. BMW with their latest iDrive have set the bar very high for all other vehicle manufacturers to attain.

What did you like/dislike like about how it drove?

As with all EVs, the acceleration is excellent, though with this BMW iX the silence inside the car is breathtaking, especially if you cancel the Hans Zimmer-tuned acoustic engine noise! The suspension is very soft which is great for most of the time. The one issue I had was when driving across Saddleworth Moor on undulating road was when I adjusted the driving mode to dynamic and expected everything to firm up like it does on my Jaguar I-PACE. Nothing too upsetting for most people as long as you aren’t expecting an engaging drive.
