Citroën ë-Berlingo 2022 electric car owner review

Citroën E-Berlingo 2022 electric car owner review

David R drives a Citroën ë-Berlingo Feel M 50kWh 2022.

This is David’s first electric car, he’s owned the Citroën ë-Berlingo from new and drives 5,000-10,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 1,000- 5,000 miles and he achieves 150 miles from a full charge.

Why did you choose the Citroën ë-Berlingo?

We have a giant dog! It was chosen for huge space, low load height, headroom and practicality.

Positives

  • Space
  • low load height
  • practicality.

Negatives

  • The Citroën app is very unreliable

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

None

What are the standout technological features of the car?

None really, it is pretty utilitarian.

Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this electric car

Massive space since all seats other than the driver’s seat fold flat. Sliding rear doors are great in car parks too.

What electric car(s) are you interested in next and why?

It’s only 5 months old so we are not considering anything else currently.

Home charging unit

Our Andersen charging unit is lovely to look at and suits our early Victorian home. It is also very well made. The cable is stored internally so it doesn’t look like a charger. The only negative is the high price but we decided that it was worth it!

Electricity supplier & tariff

British Gas standard tariff – in view of our low mileage we haven’t looked at changing but may do so in the future.
I have nothing particularly positive or negative to say about them, they are OK.

Do you use public charging networks?

No

Insurer

Direct Line – they are very reasonable.

Please itemise where you’re saving money (or not) owning & running a Citroën ë-Berlingo

Fuel costs and hopefully servicing. Save around £50 a month.
