‘UK & Ireland Road Trip’ drove from Kent to Ireland and back (unsurprisingly) in his Vauxhall Mokka-e 50kWh 2021.
Introducing your road trip
We travelled from Kent to Drayton Manor theme park then onto Liverpool for four days. We then headed to Holyhead, Anglesey to get a ferry to Dublin. We then travelled to the west coast of Ireland and finally down to Wexford.

Planning & preparation
Used Zap-Map for route planning in UK & Ireland and bought a road map in case the sat nav signal was poor.
Charging
In the UK we mainly used Lidl for charging after the ones at Rugby Services we’re playing up. In Ireland we used ESB charging stations at petrol stations and car parks, the cost per kW was 37p.
Did you encounter any great driving roads on your road trip? If so, where were they and why were they great?
Ring of Kerry and Atlantic way were good.
The Vauxhall Mokka-e
Used the car’s sat nav and changed miles to kilometres to make judging distance easier.
Road trip conclusion
The trip was OK with Zap-Map used to find charging points and direct you to them using Waze or Google Maps.
