What was your dealership experience like?
It was a relaxed experience with plenty of parking. The dealership is on the outskirts of the town and the staff are friendly, helpful and not overbearing.
What were your first impressions of the electric car?
This is the first electric vehicle I’ve driven and it did feel a little strange at first as when you start to drive there’s no noise! Also, the regenerative braking is something that’s quite strong and takes time to get used to. There’s very little noise at low speeds but you can hear more wind and road noise the faster you go. Once I got used to the regen braking I found driving the car really enjoyable and the regen braking really good.
The acceleration is quite something compared to my Evoque, you put your foot down and the car responds very quickly. The cockpit has one large screen, the rest of the area is very minimalist. The trim level is good and the software is intuitive and responsive. The car is bigger than you’d think from pictures on the website and even YouTube videos.
