Why did you choose the Volkswagen ID.3?

Partly environmental reasons but mainly because the driving experience is simply better – smoother, quieter, more relaxing and above all, easier.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car.

  • Smooth ride
  • quiet
  • relaxing
  • stress-free and convenient – no more queuing at petrol stations.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car.

The current state of the public charging infrastructure is not keeping up with the uptake of electric vehicles. Apart from that, there’s nothing I don’t like.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

None.

What are the standout tech features of your car?

Regen braking and the fact that our car will slow down automatically when approaching a junction based on radar/sat nav data, saving you even more energy.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this car.

It helps you to see around corners at night!

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

None as yet, still too early in our EV journey.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Andersen A2 – we chose it partly for its automated features and its app but also because of its aesthetics. It hides the cable and doesn’t look like a hose reel on the front of your house.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Octopus Go – highly recommended thanks to the cheap-rate overnight tariff.
