Nissan LEAF 2018 electric car owner review

Richard Curtis drives a Nissan LEAF 2018 electric car.

This is Richard’s first electric car, he’s owned the LEAF under 1 year and drives under 5,000 miles annually. The current mileage of the car is between 20,000-30,000 miles and he achieves 150 miles range from a full charge.

Why did you choose this electric car?

I had done some research, including watching YouTube video reviews. Two previous ICE cars were bought from the local Nissan dealer and out-of-the-blue Nissan offered a 24hr test in a 2021 Tekna model. Following this test we bought our current car from the local dealer.

  • Easy to drive
  • easy to manoeuvre (parking aids)
  • easy to clean (diamond finish)
  • very comfortable.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car.

  • Co-driver’s range anxiety
  • remaining range slightly exaggerated.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No but a feature of the auto headlights confused us until explained by the dealer.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

I don’t have a chargepoint at home yet. A 13A to CHAdeMO adapter lead was supplied and we use that.
