Why did you choose this car?
I took a Tesla Model 3 for a 2 hour test drive and loved it. Only problem is we have 2 dogs and the Model 3 only has a boot and the back seats do not fold down so that wouldn’t work. The Model Y had no date of it coming to the UK. I looked at the ID.3 but thought it was just not big enough as we wanted to go back to camping at weekends.
Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.
- The room
- the ride
- the range
- the boot
- the shape
- the colour.
Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.
- I have a rattle in the boot which I can’t find out what it is
- no spare wheel
- some of the switches don’t light up so at night it’s a bit hit and miss
- the switches on the right side of the steering wheel that control the music are all wrong. If you go up or down that switches the music tracks, if you go left or right it controls the volume.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
The range, how easy it is to charge, the punch it has, it’s a lot better than you are told in the car reviews. Cornering for a big heavy car is fantastic.
What car are you interested in next and why?
The South Korean cars look great: Kia EV6, Hyundai IONIQ 5.
What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I have a Wallbox, it’s a great small charger with good easy software.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I’m on Octopus Go, its the cheapest tariff for EVs at the moment. I would recommend but not sure for how long it’s going to be like this.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
All of them but mainly use Pod Point and Gridserve. Pod Point is free at Tesco at the moment.

AXA – only because it was the cheapest.
