Why did you choose this car?
Good value, lots of equipment, glass roof and cheap to run. Priced considerably below that of equivalent competitors when bought.

  • Glass roof and tilting sun roof
  • Easy to drive with semi-autonomous driving.

 

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • The look of the car
  • The dealerships often don’t understand electric cars
  • MG is not customer service orientated.

 

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

  • Steering not positive (steering arm replaced)
  • problems with software – several updates required one of which had to be paid for to enable smart chargers.

 

What are the standout tech features of the car?
Semi-autonomous driving and collision avoidance.

What car are you interested in next and why?
MG ZS EV Trophy Connect Long Range currently ordered. Considerable tech improvements on the previous car including 273-mile range, app and internet connection.

 

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Charged EV Smart meter – would recommend. Works well, no app but website access to set up smart charging. When it was installed I was given a very good deal and the installers were excellent. Since then ownership has changed. After power cuts, the system sometimes takes time to return to normal working

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go Faster – cannot recommend at present because don’t know what new tariffs are but has been very cost-efficient since tariff provided.

Instavolt – for reliability.

Don’t use them enough to judge.
