Why did you choose this car?
I did not want a monster SUV but I did need a car with some space in it and reasonably good range for longer distance driving. I also wanted a modern car with all the technology, not a converted ICE car like the MG. There are not many options in this category. Ideally I would have liked an estate car but apart from the old fashioned MG there is nothing available. I have had a BMW i3 for 5 years; it is a great town car but too small and does not have enough range for distances.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • Great handling and driving
  • Great technology, especially the amazing Matrix headlights
  • Lots of comfortable space.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • Visibility at the corners
  • Wipers (not RHD!)
  • The rear window is a trap for dust.

Rate your EV out of 5

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
The headlights are amazing, they dip automatically, even when approaching reflective signs; they follow around corners; they cast shadow on the car in front, even as you go around corners; they close right down when going slow and open up again when you accelerate. It takes all the stress out of night driving on winding country roads.

What car are you interested in next and why?
I have only just got this and there is nothing I would rather have.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I do not use or need one. They are over-rated and often unnecessary. You only need one if you are doing heavy mileage every day. I just use the slow granny charger every few days and it is all I need. I can plan ahead and fill up the batteries fully for a long trip the next day.
