Why did you choose this car?
I liked that Tesla are very contrary, breaking the mould and doing things differently. No high pressure sales, no keys, no service schedule etc. The car itself, I like the performance and the high-tech stuff.
Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.
- I love the way it drives, fast if I want or nice and quiet
- I like the tech, popping AutoPilot on while on a motorway or in slow moving queue is great
- Also watching Netflix on the big screen while I’m waiting for a charge or the kids to finish football
- I love the way it’s totally keyless, no start button just get in and go.
Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.
- The wiper speed is never quite right
- It’s a big car, I’m used to smaller cars like the Golf
- No heated steering wheel.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
Under the front trunk there’s a small amount of storage, I put my cables there. Despite it being small there’s a button inside, illuminated, to allow the bonnet release…as though someone could get in there!
What car are you interested in next and why?
I’ve three more years with this one so not sure yet.
What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I use a Tesla Wall Charger. It works well with the Tesla and has a button on the handle to open the charge port. As the Tesla has a good app for scheduling and charging there’s no need for a smart charger.

I stick to the Tesla chargers with this car, the seamless nature of get out, plug in and it’s charging combined with the high speeds of the 250kW chargers is great.

Churchill – they’re pretty good and well priced.
