Why did you choose this car?
Having had the petrol version for four months and loving it, I saw how good used car prices were so I decided to sell and buy a new e-208, which is incredible!

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  • It’s looks –  the colour (Faro yellow)
  • Instant torque
  • How easy it is to drive
  • It’s really comfortable – my first car with heated seats
  • How quick it charges on a rapid charger.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • The range is way off the claimed range according to Peugeot
  • The Peugeot app is awful and works when it wants to
  • Because the car is so quiet it means that you hear any plastic rattles instantly.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
How well built the car feels, feels much better finished compared to the Polo and Fiesta.

What car are you interested in next and why?
I would love to have a Tesla Model 3, purely because it’s a Tesla and they are one of the best, well-priced electric vehicles in my opinion.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
I use the Ohme 3pin granny charger, I can’t have a wallbox installed but my circuit has been checked to ensure safe use of the granny cable. This is a smart charger allowing me to only charge in my cheap period of energy with the Octopus Go tariff, those 4 hours allow me to recharge the car a little more than my commute would use, so it’s perfect. When the time comes to have a wallbox installed, it will be an Ohme charger.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – yes I would recommend this to others if they are an EV user and charge at home purely because the normal day rates are good and the 4 hour 5p per kWh between 00:30 – 04:30 is brilliant. Meaning that my commute costs me next to nothing on a daily basis.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I use Pulse, GeniePoint, Pod Point and ChargeYourCar. All four have proven to be reliable so far for me and have no issues with recommending them.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
My car is insured with Churchill, no other reason than they were the cheapest. Yes I would recommend.
