What’s been your best experience with a public charger?

Tesla Superchargers: just plug in, the charger recognises the car and charges – simples! If your Tesla is 2017 or older, they’re free. For newer Teslas, the cost is charged to your account automatically.

What’s been your worst experience with a public charger?

Westminster BP Pulse and Gun Wharf Quay Pod Point: they are both in underground car parks where there is no mobile phone signal but require a mobile phone app to work! Out of the 3 at Westminster, only 1 worked. Similarly, the IONITY chargers at M25 Cobham Services failed to charge me or several others using contactless payment; apparently a software fault prevented contactless payments from working. Also IONITY charge 69p / kWh versus around 30p for most others: a rip-off.
