Why did you choose this car?
I had an ICE ZS and I was very pleased with that. I had been looking at getting an EV and so took the plunge and bought the ZS EV.
Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?
- Smooth to drive
- Cheap to run
- The colour – tri coat red.
Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?
- Poor stereo system
- Range could be better.

It is a lovely car to drive, so smooth and one pedal driving has been a revelation.
What EV are you interested in next and why?
The ZS update when it comes out – it is due to have a longer range.
What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Hypervolt – It looks great, works well. There is a dedicated Facebook page for users and the CEO of the company is a member. Customer service is outstanding.
What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Currently on a fixed contract with British Gas. I will be looking to move, probably to Octopus, in a couple of months time.
What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Pod Point at Tesco for a free charge. Instavolt on long journeys as it is reliable and hassle-free.
Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
LV – a good price plus they have a recovery service if you run out of charge.
