Purchased for compatibility with Octopus Intelligent Go, even if EV wasn’t compatible.

Positives

  • Easy to use
  • has proven reliable over last 12 months
  • phone app very good (especially after the recent app update).

Negatives

  • Bit bulky
  • cable hook feels a bit flimsy
  • can’t have more than one EV on the app at a time (although changing EV isn’t very difficult).

Outline any faults you have experienced with the unit

None

Tell us about your home charging routine

MINI Electric SE – charge to 80% every 3 days or so. Ohme is basically plug & leave: plug it in and Ohme talks to Octopus who sets up a cheap rate charging schedule.

Octopus Intelligent Go – works well, 500 miles a month costs about £8:50. Also get cheap electricity for the whole house in the same period.
