Why did you choose the Mustang Mach-E?

I’m a petrolhead at heart however, I felt the need to go full electric and might as well go for a larger car as I still have other ICE vehicles. I’m loving it overall however I do miss a gear lever as driving an EV is too easy. Never owned an auto. I do like the tech side of EVs and the challenge of saving kWs!

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this electric car.

  • The classic look, not trying to be space age
  • The instant acceleration
  • People do a double take when parked or driving.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this electric car.

  • No gear stick
  • Too easy to drive not involving
  • No sound.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?

No faults so far.

What are the standout tech features of your Mustang Mach-E?

  • The auto speed recognition & change in cruise control is useful when driving in an unfamiliar area
  • Android Auto is a boon never had it before
  • The large info screen is very useful.

What electric car are you interested in next and why?

Nothing at the moment.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?

Since the weather has changed for the better the SyncEV unit has been over heating and automatically reducing the output from 7.4kW to an erratic 5.3-6kW, it was working fine in March when it was colder. According to SyncEV it’s a safety measure which is a good thing to have however, when it does it all the time it makes me think is there an issue with the unit?! I’m waiting for them to come back to me regarding this problem.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
