Why did you choose this car?
I wanted a small hatchback with a range of over 200 miles and a Renault Zoe was the best option.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • 22kW charging on AC is really useful
  • Very efficient
  • Relaxing to drive.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • I would like the max charging speed to be greater than 50kW
  • DAB radio isn’t as good as some other cars
  • Touchscreen whilst OK isn’t as responsive as some other cars.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
None.

What are the standout tech features of the car?
Tech features are competent without really standing out.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this car.
I find the ability to charge at 22kW AC far more useful than I expected. Often a rapid charger is in use or broken but there is an AC option that would be very slow for most EVs but with a Zoe you can still get a decent charge rate.

What car are you interested in next and why?
Definitely another EV but no idea which and it won’t be for several years yet.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Ohme – I bought it because it can work with Octopus Agile. Although due to the current energy prices I am not actually on this tariff. However, it works fine for scheduled or immediate charging.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – four hours overnight at just 5p/kWh, so excellent for EV owners.

Pod Point because it’s free at Tesco. Instavolt and Osprey because they nearly always work.
