Why did you choose this car?
It’s a ‘small on the outside, big on the inside’ hatchback. I particularly like the build quality and eco materials used. Very economical to run despite it being quick off the mark. The BMW app is fantastic and easy to use. I can’t charge at home but have had no issues keeping it topped up, many times free of charge. I will never go back to a petrol or diesel car. Go and test drive an electric car, you will not look back.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • It’s clean, quick and quiet
  • Never scrape ice off your windows or boil alive ever again
  • Send destinations to the cars sat nav directly from the app.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • I like everything about it, the only small niggle is that the charging port is on the offside, it would be more practical on the nearside.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
No faults, however the rear tyres will need replacing more often, could be because I only ever drive in sport mode and love the traffic lights Grand Prix.

What are the standout tech features of the car?
The iDrive system is really good plus it has wireless Apple CarPlay but no Android Auto. The BMW app is fantastic and easy to use. The three setting heated seats are lovely just on number one setting. One pedal driving is brilliant, in fact I wouldn’t buy a car without it now. Automatic electric handbrake. I like the flat loading (no lip) and I did option the reversing camera and front parking sensors (the rear are standard).

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this car.
That’s easy, it’s built like a McLaren, e.g. carbon fibre tub and roof, carbon fibre re-enforced plastic body panels, glass tailgate, 20” lightweight alloy wheels, lightweight slim seats & unusual two spoke steering wheel. All making it super efficient.
