Octopus energy - Electric Road review

Here’s a snippet of what Octopus Energy has to say about themselves:

‘The energy industry in Britain is ruled by a handful of complacent dinosaurs peddling fossil fuels, pricing trickery and poor customer service. In 2016, Octopus entered the market to disrupt the status quo with energy that’s good for the planet, good for your wallet, and, honestly, good for your soul.

Since then, we’ve been picking up 50,000 customers a month on average, and now supply energy to over 2 million UK homes (and counting). To this day, 92% of our customers rate us as 5* Excellent on TrustPilot; and we’re the only supplier to be recommended by consumer champion, Which? 4 years in a row.’

(as published on their website, January 2022).

Here’s what some of our owners have to say about Octopus Energy:

‘Octopus – great company, easy to deal with, great online handling of bills etc. and they buy the power we generate from the solar panels. Top marks to them.’

‘Octopus Go tariff – very good company. Their service and support is fantastic. With all the market volatility at the moment, Octopus are stable.’

Hyundai IONIQ 5 Project 45 2021, Julian. Read the full Owner Review here

‘Octopus Go – a specific tariff designed for EV owners. Gives a reduced electricity price between 00:30-04:30, which is useful. I set my car to charge only during those specific times via the Renault app.’

About British Gas (by themselves)

Here’s what some of our owners think of British Gas’s electricity services:
