Why did you choose this car?
A larger than average battery size compared to models available in the market at that moment, range (advertised 300 miles), internal space for the family (comfortable road trips) and trust in the VW brand.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • Infotainment system in a single touch screen
  • Range
  • Possibilities of interaction with the car (guidance when driving, brings you back to lane, adjusts speed for you automatically based on speed limits, proximity sensors).

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • Can be quite cold inside the car without the heat from the engine (in a very cold morning)
  • Humidity and condensation on the windows on very cold days.

Have you experienced any faults with the car? If so, what have they been?
One fault. The interior and exterior lights system and the window controls failed a few weeks with the car. Had to take to service and wait for three weeks for components to come from Germany and be installed. It was a component-related fault. All sorted out and works very well.

What are the standout tech features of the car?

  • Navigation system
  • Sensors and interaction with driver – the lights on the dashboard indicate turns (blue light), if charging (green light) or danger (red light)
  • Interior space is huge and comfortable.

Surprise us! Tell us something people wouldn’t readily know about this car.
The car will break for you and show a red light in the dashboard if it senses you may hit something and you are not slowing down. It assumes you are not aware and reacts for you.

Do not have a home charging unit. Use public networks. I am a member of a few of them so I can drive around the country without worry.

Do not have domestic unit. The tariffs in the public systems are quite similar (around 30 pence GBP per kWh or little less).
