Why did you choose this car?

  • Company car
  • Fan of Jags
  • Practical boot
  • Decent range.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • Great handling
  • Instant torque
  • Comfortable seats
  • Space for dog in the boot!

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • Emergency lane-keeping function is a bit too intrusive on country lanes
  • Onboard scheduled charge timer is pants (but easy to do from own 7kw home wall charger)
  • 100kW max charge rate at rapids is now behind competitors.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
This car puts a smile on your face every time you are on an open road 🙂

What car are you interested in next and why?
Still have 2 years to run on my lease but if I were to replace it today, I’d go for another I-PACE. For me, it has the perfect mix of space and pace.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
7kW zappi – really like it. No earth rod is needed on install, quality build and integrates well with solar panels.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go Faster – daytime rate is 15p/kWh and 5 hrs off-peak between 20:30-01:30hrs at 5.5p/kWh which covers my EV charging needs (and dishwasher, washing machine) perfectly and cheaply. I was lucky to sign-up before the recent price hikes. Expecting costs to jump when my deal expires in Jan ‘22.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I recommend Pod Point (at Lidl), Instavolt and Gridserve. I avoid most others but the picture is changing all the time. Zap-Map is your friend 🙂

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
It’s a company car so the insurance is covered by them.
