Why did you choose this car?
It was the first one we looked at. A spur of the moment purchase!

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • Ideal for our type of journey length. Most are less than 5 miles.
  • Great fun to drive, instant acceleration
  • Easiest car ever to drive, no chance of stalling. Instant response as to getting out of junctions.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • Long distance journeys mean having to charge away from home
  • Too many chargers not working on motorway services
  • Not enough rapid chargers.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
More interior space in the LEAF than in the Jaguar F-PACE!

What car are you interested in next and why?
Kia EV6 – we have already ordered it. Range in excess of 300 miles, body styling of the car, loads of tech gizmos and self-driving capabilities.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
13 amp normal socket. We are retired so do not commute. We have solar panels that can supply most of our charging needs. I am currently looking at myenergi zappi as a charger once we are a 2 x EV car household. This can be part of a whole house integrated solar system, charging car, heating hot water & charging house with back up batteries.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
E.ON – 2 year dual fuel fixed rate. This may not be the best for car charging for most people but works for us.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Pod Point, GeniePoint & Shell Recharge.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Direct Line.
