Why did you choose this car?
It is good value for money. Compared to other electric SUVs it was thousands of pounds cheaper without much loss of features. There was a good discount for NHS workers at the time. The range is plenty for most journeys and I knew I could manage without a home charger as a result.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car.

  • Affordable
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Great torque.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car.

  • No app
  • The Infotainment system is a little laggy at times
  • No light at the charging point and it is too easy to leave up with no warning.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
Very comfortable on long journeys in hot or cold weather.

What car are you interested in next and why?
I am unsure yet. The new ZS EV model has a longer range but does cost quite a bit more. I will likely stick with my MG ZS EV until a new SUV EV is announced.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Ohme – to link with cheaper rates from my electricity supplier.

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – perfect for a cheap overnight charge. I did start with Octopus Agile but found the changing rates were high and I could save more on the Go tariff.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Instavolt is the most reliable but costly.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Admiral, they provided the cheapest quote.
