What got you into an EV in the first place?
Five years ago, discussing the future of EVs with my family I decided it was the route for me and started to research what was available. Made my first purchase in 2018.
What didn’t you know to begin with?
Quite a lot. Charging, driving and general abilities I found to be somewhat different to diesel, which I was used to.

What did you find most confusing about EVs and how did you solve that?
Using different charging systems away from home. All petrol stations take cash or card. The EV charge points have so many variants on the ways to use and pay for them. I tend to stick with one or two different companies I have mastered instead of just looking to charge anywhere. Planning on long journeys I find to be essential.
What sources of information helped you e.g. people, groups, websites etc?
Mostly the internet. When I first started I did not know any EV owner. None of my neighbours or friends, even now, are EV owners.
Why did you buy the car you did?
I needed a little more space, so I have gone from a hatchback to a small SUV. In addition, I looked at increasing range.
