Why did you choose this car?
It looks cool and different, it’s well designed, build quality is superb, it has Google automotive which is the best in car systems I have ever used (enough to ditch the idea of wanting apple car play), the seats are incredibly comfortable, lights and wipers (both important in the UK) are the best around, it’s a hatchback which makes loading much more flexible. BIK is pennies too.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
On 19″ wheels the 0-60 figure is faster than that published. You will also be asked about it a great deal.
What EV are you interested in next and why?
Likely the Polestar 3. I love the ethos and design language of the brand. Waiting for the Precept to be made into the production Polestar 5. May be tempted into a Porsche Macan BEV.
What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
A very old Pod Point 3kw. It does the job but better chargers are out there. My next one will support bi-directional charges to futureproof it.
What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
People’s Energy- yes, they are price competitive even though it is a flat tariff. Saving money compared to Octopus.
What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Instavolt and mainly GeniePoint. Reliable and much better than Electric Highway and BP it would seem.
Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Admiral – no opinion on if I recommend them as I have a low opinion of all insurance companies.
