Why did you choose this car?
Good range from battery size. Quicker charging than the standard Zoe.

Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?

  • Very easy to drive
  • Easily enough range for 95% of journeys I make without requiring a recharge en route
  • Very little servicing required.

Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?

  • Lazy RHD conversion by Renault, some things that should have been swapped over have been left as in a LHD version
  • Lack of DC charging
  • Infotainment system set up for Android; no Apple Airplay.

Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a car but I don’t regret it.

What EV are you interested in next and why?
Tesla Model 3 due to the safety standards and regular over the air software updates to make it a better car after you’ve bought it, even as a used vehicle.

What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
zappi 2. Brilliant bit of kit. Allows me to charge my car using surplus solar generation only. I haven’t paid to charge my car since beginning of April (now July); it’s been powered by electricity that we get paid for generating!

What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus Go – great overnight tariff which is good for car charging if needed.

What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
I haven’t used one for ages. Used Instavolt with my previous car and they were great; reliable and contactless payment, no faffing with apps or cards or keys.

Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
V&A because they gave the best price.
