Positives – List 3 or more reasons why you love this car?
- Performance – blimey, it’s quick
Comfort & driving – very relaxed, great visibility
Range & charging – Supercharging is FAST and really convenient
Interior – I love the minimalist interior, there’s loads of space.
Negatives – List 3 or more things that you really don’t like about this car?
- The touchscreen can be fiddly – it’s not always easy to find what you are looking for
- The navigation app doesn’t show 3rd party charge points
- Could do with a few more storage spaces/cubbyholes
- Opening the glovebox is awkward
- The boot hatch is too narrow – I much prefer a hatchback
- Ride quality is on the firm side – Model S & Taycan much more refined.
Surprise us! Tell us something surprising about this car?
You can ‘share’ a location with the car from any app on your phone and it puts it in the sat nav as a destination.
What EV are you interested in next and why?
Tesla Model 2 – a smaller hatch with Tesla technology would be awesome.
What home charging unit do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Ohme Type 2 cable – easy to use and fully integrated with Tesla and Octopus.
What home electricity supplier & tariff do you use? Would you recommend it to others and why?
Octopus – currently on Super Green, switching shortly to Go. Octopus seem to really understand the needs of EV users and they’re great to deal with.
What public charging networks do you use? Would you recommend them to others and why?
Tesla Supercharger – fast, convenient and reliable. I haven’t had much success with other charging networks and I don’t want to use an RFID card or app. I have tried contactless on BP Pulse but it has never worked for me.
Who do you insure your EV with? Would you recommend them to others and why?
It is insured via my employer as it’s a company car.
